rohan bailey
Rohan Bailey, a registered architect in Jamaica, is Director of the 4-year Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies (BAAS) programme at the Caribbean School of Architecture (CSA). A past student of CSA, Rohan traveled to Wellington, New Zealand in 1999 to teach and pursue his PhD in Architecture (completed 2005). In 2003, he returned to take up positions at CSA as Research Coordinator and lecturer in Design Studio and Design Computing. He was appointed to his current position in August 2004.
He has presented and published in the fields of Architectural Education and Design Computing. His latest published paper “The Student, the Master and the Computer”, was presented in Graz, Austria at the 21st Conference on Education in Computer Aided Architectural Design in Europe. He has been accepted to present his current research work on a Caribbean Design Primer for beginning architectural students, at the 23rd Conference in Lisbon, Portugal in September.
