joni tyler
I joined the RIBA in 1997, having spent the previous six years in direct marketing for a children's charity. As Head of CPD at the RIBA, my remit is to oversee the development of our money making RIBA CPD Providers Network, and to implement CPD policy. We are presently a team of three. Our current concerns are the continued growth of the Providers Network, developing a mandatory core curriculum for our members' CPD, development of courses and activities for people wanting to return to practice for career breaks, and offering more in the way of online and interprofessional learning.
I am an American married to a Brit, but have lived here in London for 16 years. I have a BA in philosophy from the University of California (Berkeley). Interests: architecture (of course!), music, art, travel, exploring London. Favourite building is Jean Nouvel's Institute du Monde Arabe in Paris or the Royal Festival Hall here in London.
