elizabeth pigou-dennis
Dr. Elizabeth Pigou-Dennis was educated at the University of the West Indies, Mona. She is currently Senior Lecturer and Acting Head at the Caribbean School of Architecture, University of Technology, Jamaica. She has taught at the School since 1993 as a specialist in Architectural History and Theory, and has been a Visiting Lecturer at UNPHU, Dominican Republic during 1999 and 2000.

She has presented at several international conferences and has published a number of peer reviewed papers on aspects of Caribbean architecture and spatial realities including “The Jamaican Bungalow: Whose Language?” in Kathleen A. Monteith & Glen Richards (eds) Jamaica in Slavery and Freedom: History, Heritage and Culture University of the West Indies Press, 2002.

Her most recent presentation was at the FCAA Congress themed “Within Without” in Port of Spain, Trinidad, May 2004.
